The Bangor Public Library is hosting a pair of great activities during this year’s Kid Central Festival.
Staff from NOAA Fisheries Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Penobscot River Restoration Trust and the Endangered Species Coalition will provide a variety of family-oriented activities and art projects to highlight the recovery of endangered species in Maine. Children’s activities will include crafting an endangered species mural, salmon migration games and a stream table. The library’s children’s department will also feature a collection of books about endangered species.
Imagination is the seed of art, hope and ideas. Imagine; the word itself invokes great possibilities, wondrous childhood memories of imaginary adventures. Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” A strong, healthy imagination is precious; this workshop enhances and nurtures one’s imagination through fun group activities. Creative imagination introduces us to limitless adventures anywhere for everyone. Each workshop is approximately one half hour and is limited to 15 participants ages 6 and up.
